ERP5 provides complete BOM and operation lists, as well as the ability to create so-called "assortments". ERP5 BOM system provides full variation and inheritance support. Value of BOM lines (quantity) can be different for each possible variation of produced resource. For example, a swimsuit in size 34 (S) will require less fabric than a swimsuit in size 38 (M). The type/quantity of memory to produce a computer depends on the total quantity of memory required for the produced variation of a given model. Because some BOM lines can be identical accross different BOM documents, ERP5 provides an inheritance system which allows to create BOM templates and specialise templates in new BOMs. It saves time and increases consistency.
